02 - Video/Action Goldenrod and EVERYWHERE;

[Good morning, Goldenrod City!

If you call waking up to a city shrouded in flames and chaos a good thing. Ashes and smoke cloud the sky. Flames engulf the surrounding shops and skyscrapers as thunder of exploding Bob-ombs bellows all around.

A fleet of Air Ships soars overhead, blasting Bullet Bills down at the city below. A foreboding tune replaces the usually cheery Goldenrod tune.

But oh, that's not even close to half the madness going on. Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas rampage through the city, led by Koopatrols. Hammer Bros. hurl hammers through the air! Magikoopas zip through the air, blasting spell upon spell at anything or anyone who crosses their path.

Hyper Goombas and Goombas of other various colors-- some winged, some spiked rush in from all directions. Putrid Piranhas burst out of manholes, spewing poisonous gas from their gaping maws.

In short, it's a party for Bowser's underlings! Any Mario enemy you can think of is sure to be there. And as for Bowser himself...

He can be seen swooping in on his Koopa Clown Car or stomping around, blasting fire from his mouth. But his body sure seems to be taking an interesting look.

He and his troops may appear in other cities. Goldenrod is just the beginning of his terrifying assault!]

[The feed begins with a broadcast of the flames eating away at Goldenrod and of the glorious air ships of above, followed by the hordes upon hordes of underlings at Bowser's disposal before the camera turns to

Bowser himself, grinning as he bursts into a fit of evil laughter.]

Bwa ha ha! I told you I'd find a way back to my old self! And now I have more than my good looks on my side. My army, my Star Rod are all back where they belong. Now it's time for some real excitement!

And if any of you hero types think you're brave enough to challenge me, go ahead. I could use a laugh! I doubt any of you could measure up to Mario, and I beat him!

[He blasts another mouthful of flame at the Pokémon Center before ending the feed.]

[Except for one teensy tiny little corner of Goldenrod.

Over there is a quiet little table sat up with a flower patterned table cloth. Several Koopas and Goombas are being served tea, along with their Torkoal and Amoongus equivalents. They're having a quaint tea part with their dear new pony friend, Fluttershy.]

Would anyone like some cucumber sandwiches? There's plenty to go around.

[Yes, please! She gladly serves them, and they have nice chit-chat.]

[You think you're the only one who can breathe fire? DO YOU, Bowser?

You don't know jack!

A massive fireball sweeps through the streets without warning, burning the putrid piranhas and any creatures in his way to dust before Sasuke darts forward through the streets, looking for the source of the chaos. He recognizes the city as Goldenrod, and he doesn't know how he got there but he knows that he has to try and stop this somehow.

It doesn't take him long to start running up the side of a building when he spots the giant turtle lizard thing in the flying clown car. Dodging the bullet bills and magic blasts while preparing another jutsu and running up the side of the building is hard work, but it's nothing the Uchiha prodigy can't handle. Get ready Bowser, because he's coming right for you!]

[...What.

What is this even--

Bowser finds himself staring dumbfounded at the little tea party. And a cutesy, pink-haired pony having tea with his minions?

Gr...Grrrr...]

Grrraaaaah! What are you minions doing down there?!

[This was not part of his super awesome plan!]

[kingbowser]

Well, what do we have here? Looks like I'm getting some entertainment after all!

[So, Sasuke. How do you feel about hammers?

Because Bowser's hurling a ton of 'em straight his way!]

[beforethedarkness]

[The hammers miss at every turn, but Sasuke isn't anywhere near fast enough to dodge the glass shattering around him as a result. Not to mention that makes it a lot harder to get up there, considering that some of what he's been running on is going away.

Determined, he continues until he's high enough to jump to another building, shooting another giant fire ball down on top of Bowser. If he thought Mario's fire balls were bad, he was in for a big surprise.]

[Oh, shit, the boss caught 'em. The minions gulp, and offer Bowser a sandwich. Fluttershy blinks up at him.]

Oh, my... is that really you, your highness? I'm sure you wouldn't recognize me... I'm Fluttershy. We were taking a break. Would you like to join us? There's a fresh pot of tea brewing.

[kingbowser]

...Uh.

[Oh gosh. What's he supposed to do in this situation? He's the awesome, threatening Koopa King! If he says yes, he'll probably look like a pansy. If he says no... grrrrah! It's not like that pony's an immediate threat. She's just... doing cutesy things.]

Well, it better be quick.

[Not. A. Word, minions.]

[kingbowser]

[Well, that fire is pretty impressive!

But, you know what they say. Fight fire with fire, and that's exactly what Bowser's doing, as he unleashes a huge torrent of flames straight at the fireball.]

How wonderful. Take a seat right over here...

[Those Goombas instantly scoot away to make room for Bowser. He needs a LOT of room, after all. Fluttershy is quick to give him a plate of sandwiches, and a hot cup of tea. With her hooves. Don't try to question it.]

Would you like anything else, your highness?

[kingbowser]

[...Yeah, he's just gonna roll with it. After all, Goombas and Bob-ombs manage to get by in city life without hands, so why not?

He'll take one of those sandwiches and give it a skeptical look before biting down.]

I don't know. What else is there?

[His dignity's already died, at any rate.]

Well, I asked some absolutely delightful Paratroopers to fetch us some desserts by this nice cafe a few blocks away. You have such a polite army.

[Because Sasuke doesn't remain there to keep up the deadly stream, his own fire ball gets swallowed up by Bowser's flames and eventually dissipates into them. Sasuke can feel a little blood sliding down his cheek before the impact of his feet against the other building jars him into action again.

Immediately he clamps down onto it with his chakra, having to take a moment to regain his balance before throwing several kunai at Bowser... And the clown car. The special thing about those kunai?

They have paper bombs attached and will explode given enough time. He's hoping that the wire tying the kunai and bombs together will catch in the propeller.]

[kingbowser]

[Oh... crud...

Bombs! It always has to be bombs or Mechakoopas or something just as obnoxious. The weapons successfully catch the propeller in fact, prompting Bowser to throw himself outta the Clown Car and onto the ground!]

Don't just sit there, you numbskulls! Do something about him!

[Three Hammer Bros. and a Boomerang Bro. zip up to the front lines, launching their weapons at Sasuke while Bowser raises his Star Rod into the air. Let's see if a bolt of electricity will knock him down a peg.]

[kingbowser]

Yes... I guess I do.

[But it's different when they're serving him. That politeness is to be expected with their king!

Oh well. It's too late to turn back now. He'll just... roll with it.]

Are they at least gonna grab a cake?

[beforethedarkness]

[ZAP! He does get hit with the electricity, and it really friggin' hurts. Sasuke's feeling the burns all over as he gets hit with several blunt weapons, only barely with it enough to keep turning and dodging the sharper ones. Finally, he stops for a moment and opens angry red eyes to Bowser.

Sharingan eyes.

With insanely swift movements he performed another jutsu before gripping his extended left arm tightly, blue-white electricity beginning to crackle and chirp loudly. That's before he runs at Bowser as quickly as he can, though he has no qualms about breaking right through the forces in front of him to get to Bowser. If he wanted to play with electricity, Sasuke wasn't going to hold back.]

[Once Sasuke comes running, most of the troops flee. They zip outta the way, frightened by his speed and all that electricity-- though some will no doubt get knocked around and opt to duck into their shells in hopes of at least tripping the guy.

But, unfortunately, Bowser is slow. All he can really do is hold his ground, and so he plants his feet firmly into the concrete and rears back his head for another flaming blast.

Sasuke will probably be able to reach him before he's an immediate threat, at least.]

[beforethedarkness]

[And reach him he does, the chidori whistling in the air before he forces his arm forward and launches the attack onto Bowser. But, something unexpected happens; although it does send the Koopa King reeling back, it doesn't seem to actually hurt him beyond the impact of a regular punch.

Wide-eyed, Sasuke stares for a moment, shocked that the Chidori hadn't... Well, shocked him, or pierced him, or done something. What was this thing?

And suddenly his respect for how tough Koopas are grows.]

[kingbowser]

[Bowser swiftly recovers and promptly slams the ground with his fists, creating a row of shockwaves.]

Gwa ha ha ha! Nice trick, but I'm afraid it's not gonna cut it!

[beforethedarkness]

[He struggles for a moment to not lose his footing before pulling out even more trap kunai, throwing them at the ground around Bowser's feet. This is bad, though; if Chidori can't break through, there's no use in using it a second time. He's not even sure he can handle a second time with how much chakra he'd been using before with previous attacks and just getting to Bowser.

He needed to play it smart if he wanted to stop this guy from destroying Goldenrod...]

[Oh boy. Mario games in real life!

brb, trying to jump on a Koopa Troopa.]

[Nod-nod! Even the Goombas and Koopas are surprised at how well this is going. Why can't all hostile takeovers be this pleasant?]

Of course! You can't have a tea party without at least some cake.

[kingbowser]

Bwa ha ha! Good! About time...

[...Do pardon his excitement here. He never gets the cakes! It's always Marioooo.]

Today is going to be awesome.

[kingbowser]

[More bombs, eh? Bowser sneers, leaping towards a building and digging his claws into the outer wall.

And then...]

All right, air ships! Drop the Bob-ombs! Let him have it!

[In a matter of seconds, some Bob-ombs leap down from the sky with little parachutes. Bowser, in the mean time, hurls more hammers and spews more flames.]

[kingbowser]

[And, just like in the games, the Koopas either duck into their shells or... flip over.

Bowser snarls from above.]

Hey, you! Stop trying to make a mess outta my takeover.

I bet you aren't even a plumber!

[crushtowin]

[Well, he's gonna kick it next, to see if he can get a one-up knock out more enemies 8D

After that he looks up.]
