[Those in the Rocket Base are sure to hear some... interesting sounds. Sounds of fists pounding, and of some guy... roaring? Yes, roaring. Seems one of the new recruits is a bit of an oddball.

And it won't be long until Bowser bursts into the hall, fists clenched, his lips pulled back to reveal some gigantic, pointed teeth... highly unnatural for a human. Behind him toddles a Turtwig, who rolls her eyes as she trails behind him. Why did she have to get stuck with a crazy one?]

Graaaah! When I get my hands on the one who did this to me, I'll smash 'em into the ground and take back what's rightfully mine! That Star Rod's gotta be around here somewhere...

You have a long way ahead of you, your majesty. To prove something like that in this place you need to have the strongest Pokémon party.

You say that like it'll be a challenge! If I can build a great Koopa army in one kingdom, I can build an army just as devastating here!

Oh, I'm sure you can. It will just take time, unless you catch your army at the highest levels possible.

Well, of course. Every Pokémon has the potential to become a strong one. [Or something as cheesy as that.]

Sure, but there's gotta be some that're miles ahead of the rest! Those are the kinds I wanna recruit.

Then you should head to Blackthorn City. The most powerful Pokémon you can find from wild should be there since the last Gym leader is there.

[Of course that only goes for Johto, but he doesn't need to know that.]

And which way is this Blackthorn? I can't go grabbing recruits without directions!

It's the most north-east city on the map. It takes a lot of time to go there, but it's worth it.
