[Those in the Rocket Base are sure to hear some... interesting sounds. Sounds of fists pounding, and of some guy... roaring? Yes, roaring. Seems one of the new recruits is a bit of an oddball.

And it won't be long until Bowser bursts into the hall, fists clenched, his lips pulled back to reveal some gigantic, pointed teeth... highly unnatural for a human. Behind him toddles a Turtwig, who rolls her eyes as she trails behind him. Why did she have to get stuck with a crazy one?]

Graaaah! When I get my hands on the one who did this to me, I'll smash 'em into the ground and take back what's rightfully mine! That Star Rod's gotta be around here somewhere...

[Somebody may want to intervene. This guy's packing a lot of muscle and some pretty huge fists, after all.]

Whether or not an actual curse is at work here I can't exactly say, but I feel as though I should inform you that you're not the only one suffering from it, nor is it something limited solely to nonhumans.

So what else does it do? None of the humans I've talked to have said anything about it affecting them yet.

If a human had any sort of ability beyond that of the average person before coming here-like the ability to use any sort of magic, for example-it would be gone upon them arriving here.

I can't really be certain as to what causes this to happen, but it's rather vexing.

Forgive me for asking-but what is the Star Rod, exactly? You brought it up earlier, but I don't believe you explained it.

It's basically this little wand thing the Star Spirits created to grant everybody's wishes. Everyone's but mine, anyway!

[He glares at the camera, teeth bared before... heh. A smirk replaces his sinister stare, and he lets out a chuckle.]

That's... all of the wishes? I was in pursuit of something similar before arriving here, but...
