[Those viewing the Rocket feed are sure to see this burly brute dressed in a bright red suit! He's grinning fiendishly with a sack in hand, and he clears his throat before he begins.]

Listen up! I'm unleashing a sinister scheme that's sure to make this one Christmas this city will never forget! I've got a gig set up at the Department Store to act like a jolly, old fatso with a beard. The catch? Stealing loot and Pokémon from the pipsqueaks that come crawling my way. And any other morons around.

But don't think I'm stopping there. No, I've got bigger plans! Wrecker, Boo, if you please...

[In the background, a vine hoists up a plate of delightful looking Christmas cookies, while a second plate floats seemingly all by itself.]

Looks pretty harmless, but there's a catch! Each one of these suckers has been loaded with Toxic and Poison Powder, making them one heckuva snack. It'll leave any idiot that eats 'em in bed for days, if not longer! So if you see little stands run by my minions in elf suits, don't eat 'em if you know what's good for ya.

[He chuckles and points a finger at the screen.]

So why am I telling you all this? Easy! Because I'm looking for people to help set up shop. To run some of the stands and ship out the goods to the other cities for good measure. And if you've got any doubts, think of it this way; it's not every day you get the honor of working with the epitome of villainy! Gwa ha ha ha!

[Those browsing the network will see an anonymous text message pop up on their devices, courtesy of a certain moron's less moronic Hypno.]

Santa Claus has come to town, so come on people, gather 'round. Visit the Goldenrod Department Store for joy, love, and presents galore! Here for a limited time, so don't miss out! See what the fuss is all about. Bring your friends, bring your families, bring your Pokémon, too. It's fun for you and you, and YOU!

Not in town but looking for cheer? Don't feel sad, never fear! We have fresh holiday treats for you to share. For pickup, air mail, we don't even care! Our home baked goods are a North Pole fav. And with our free samples, think of the money you'll save!

[Those in Goldenrod City are sure to find something interesting. No matter where they look, there are stands littering the street lined with plates of fresh, Christmas cookies with a sign that reads "FREE SAMPLES". For those who would like to buy a whole batch, they will find that the price is quite cheap-- P300! That's only a little more than a Rage Candy Bar!

Some of the stands are manned by Pokémon in elf, snowman, and Reindeer suits. These include one adorable little Squirtle, a Magmar, a Larvitar, an Ivysaur, a Magcargo, and a Tirtouga, just to name a few.

Inside the Department Store, however, lies an even stranger sight-- Department Store Santa Claus, complete with the bushy beared, the suit with all the bells and whistles, a rather comfortable looking chair, gift sack, and more Pokémon in cute little costumes. ...Including a Hypno, Granbull, Gible, and Machoke. These Pokémon seem harmless enough, leading kids and other visitors towards the big guy himself and occasionally handing out gift boxes.

What those with a less watchful eye may not realize is that they're being watched constantly. Not only by the Hypno, but by something else. Something unseen... something making a grab for those Pokéballs you may or may not have.]

[ooc: And Bowser plot begins now! For info, look here. Please let me know if you're okay with him stealing. I'd rather not have him found out right away. Also note that the cookies are poisoned with either Poison Powder or Toxic.

[Well, while John peruses the store, a certain ghost lurks in his shadow, eying his movements closely. Very closely.

Hmm, now where are his Pokéballs? He seems clueless enough. The perfect prey...]

[He pretty much is. Kid really needs to learn to pay more attention to his surroundings. But hey, Johto is a nice place! No need to be on your guard constantly.]

[His pokeballs are on his belt at the moment, though right this second might not be the best time to go for them. A small ding from John's pokegear has drawn his attention to that area momentarily, but he'll be absorbed in his conversation soon enough. He frowns, looking concerned. Apparently one of his friends was just poisoned thanks to some cookies she ate? Wow. Who even does something like that? ~~The Batterwitch.~~]

[While the Lopunny peers over John's shoulder, chittering at him concernedly and just as distracted as he is, the Litwick on his shoulder kind of gets the feeling that something is not quite right. She turns around, peering around the store. Something's there...but what? What is it? Where is it?]

[...]

[...down in Dad's shadow?]

[Oh. A Litwick... That's interesting.

But no matter. He'll continue as planned, remaining eerily invisible. Maybe when the candle looks away, he'll swipe the prize away...]

[And when she fails to find anything, the little candle will eventually do just that. She must be imagining things. Though she still can't quite shake this feeling...]

[She doesn't get a chance to change her mind and start looking for the mysterious presence again. Because shortly after she stopped looking, John begins to move towards the stairs at a quicker than usual pace. He needs to get to the pharmacy, asap! So now, even the Litwick is distracted too, leaving nothing standing between Big Boo and his prize.]

[And it's at that opportune moment that Big Boo strikes, reaching for the Pokéballs with an invisible hand. He hopes to grab at least one or two, but oh... if he stole more. That would be most convenient...

Perhaps a little too convenient, unfortunately.]

[And he'll manage his goal of two with John none the wiser. In fact, the poor boy won't even notice until much later in the evening that they're even missing. He'll probably think he managed to lose them somehow and head back over to the department store to check the lost and found.]

[But of course, he won't find his Swampert and Venomoth there.]
