kingbowser | 02 - Video/Action Goldenrod and EVERYWHERE;

[Good morning, Goldenrod City!

If you call waking up to a city shrouded in flames and chaos a good thing. Ashes and smoke cloud the sky. Flames engulf the surrounding shops and skyscrapers as thunder of exploding Bob-ombs bellows all around.

A fleet of Air Ships soars overhead, blasting Bullet Bills down at the city below. A foreboding tune replaces the usually cheery Goldenrod tune.

But oh, that's not even close to half the madness going on. Koopa Troopas and Paratroopas rampage through the city, led by Koopatrols. Hammer Bros. hurl hammers through the air! Magikoopas zip through the air, blasting spell upon spell at anything or anyone who crosses their path.

Hyper Goombas and Goombas of other various colors-- some winged, some spiked rush in from all directions. Putrid Piranhas burst out of manholes, spewing poisonous gas from their gaping maws.

In short, it's a party for Bowser's underlings! Any Mario enemy you can think of is sure to be there. And as for Bowser himself...

He can be seen swooping in on his Koopa Clown Car or stomping around, blasting fire from his mouth. But his body sure seems to be taking an interesting look.

He and his troops may appear in other cities. Goldenrod is just the beginning of his terrifying assault!]

[The feed begins with a broadcast of the flames eating away at Goldenrod and of the glorious air ships of above, followed by the hordes upon hordes of underlings at Bowser's disposal before the camera turns to

Bowser himself, grinning as he bursts into a fit of evil laughter.]

Bwa ha ha! I told you I'd find a way back to my old self! And now I have more than my good looks on my side. My army, my Star Rod are all back where they belong. Now it's time for some real excitement!

And if any of you hero types think you're brave enough to challenge me, go ahead. I could use a laugh! I doubt any of you could measure up to Mario, and I beat him!

[He blasts another mouthful of flame at the Pokémon Center before ending the feed.]

[Danny flies right into the thick of it, dodging and phasing through stuff as it comes his way, all the while, firing back green lasers of his own. He's also punching stuff.]

[shockwaves shmockwaves! though Kirby's getting some pretty serious Dedede vibes from this guy...]

[though he's not the cocky sort, so Kirby makes a valiant attempt at dodging the shockwaves as he bolts off... completely in the opposite direction. toward a Hammer Brother, specifically.]

Wait. It's Bowser, and it's Johto, and... the Star Rod? What was that? Whatever, she's gotta talk to him.]
Um, no. I don't think you'll win, 'k?

[Those poor Bob-ombs.

Akaya will just, stomp another Koopa Troopa and kick it behind him as he runs... and then hide in the nearest house around corner and hope he's missed.]

[Liquid took a look out his window this morning and found the city overrun with turtles and adorable bombs. He had been sleeping, damn you.]

Since you've asked so nicely, I think I shall come over there and beat you. I don't know when I'll stop.

... Only you, Fluttershy.

[Twilight's settled down by the group with a cup of tea for herself, flanked by her Kadabra and Dragonite.]

So, how many members of this little "army" do you think we can get to just settle down with us here?

[After all, if they can stop Bowser without so much as a single fight, all the better!]

I'm not sure... I sent out some Paratroopas to get some cake, and I'm sure they'll let others know what we're doing. And they're all so nice when you get to know them. From what I hear, mister Bowser wants to marry this nice princess named Peach, but this mean man named Mario keeps interrupting.

[... the Goombas and such may be coughing and whistling a bit. yeah. sure.]

Uh-huh... and do we know how Miss Peach feels about that?

[Twilight is, shall we say, a bit less trusting of Bowser's motives than Fluttershy is.]

[Hrmph! Bowser sneers at the sight before turning his gaze upward.]

Magikoopas! Deal with this brat. Airships! Aim all Bullet Bills downward right away!

[Bowser will join in for good measure, spewing fire and creating lightning bolts with his Star Rod.]

Hah! I knew I was outta your league, but this is too much!

[Go ahead, Kirby. Have fun as that Hammer Bro. launches his hammer like a boss.]

People are always gonna get hurt, kid. No way around it!

[Pffft. And who the heck is this? Bowser grins and shakes his head, unphased by her words.]

We'll see about that once I'm through with this place! Why not start a winning streak here and now?

[Yaaawn.]

That's what everybody else has said, and no one's come close. But I can't blame 'em. It's hard to top invincibility, gwa ha ha!

[oh, he will! in fact, if Kirby's going to stand any chance against Bowser, he's going to need a little more iron in his diet.]

[which is why, once he's within a decent range, he plants his feet steady against the ground and starts inhaling — right until that launched hammer pops into his mouth.]

[delicious! and, if one happens to be Kirby, the only way to express one's approval of such exquisite cuisine is through a transformation sequence!]

[...Siiiiigh. Nastasia then turns her camera - she miiiight have just hypnotised some of your minions, and they have, like, totaly cool shades on. Where did they get those? She then turns back to you.]
Perhaps because, er, there are a lot more powerful people then, um, me around here.
[She thinks. Maybe. She just doesn't wanna see this place destroyed because she kind of thinks Zubat are cute. But she's leaning back on one of your Koopas, Bowser. Your move.]

She really likes him a lot! She makes him special cakes, but Mario always eats them.

Special cakes, huh? Sounds like a Pinkie Pie sort of thing... I get the feeling we aren't getting the whole story here. Not that it really matters all that much, I guess, since neither of the others are here. But I just figure, if a Princess and a guy as big and powerful-looking as him wanted to get married, I can't think of all that much that could really stop them.

[Twilight. You're comparing other Princesses to the ones from Equestria again. You really need to stop doing that.]

Size sometimes doesn't matter... maybe this Mario has lots of powerful magic, like Discord!

[Okay, that gets her to shudder a bit.]

I guess he'd have to, to take on a whole army... Hey, you guys, what kind of powers does Mario have, anyway?

Surely there's another way? What you're doing is so horrible!

[Well, he certainly can't counter an assault on that level. He hits the ground hard. But is still in Phantom form.]

L-Lucky hit!

[They don't technically have to lie! The minions eagerly talk.]

He can shoot fireballs out of his hands!
He can grow in size until he stomps us flat!
He can fly! He can shrink! He can smash stone with his head!

[Fluttershy gulps, shrinking back a little.]

Oh, he sounds scary...

Pichu! Umbreon, get back here!

[This... well, this was not something that Hikari had been expecting. She really should've known better than to think that things would stay mostly safe for long... though a Mario game invasion happening wasn't anything she could've expected at all.

But she had a bigger problem right now, Pichu and Umbreon had been outside of their pokéballs when everything happened. So of course, her two most fight happy pokémon decided that Koopa Troopas were the perfect things to go beating up.

As it was right now, both of them were somehow clinging to their own Troopa shell... and bouncing back and forth between the bulidings and the invading horde.

And being really, really difficult to get back into their pokéballs.]

Yes, yes, invincible giant turtle, star rod, sentient mushrooms. Is it Tuesday already?

[Liquid is from a Kojima production, so your shit only registers like a five on his weirdness scale.]

Just out of curiosity, do you happen to have Stinger missiles or genetically-engineered superviruses?

[Twilight is also pretty darn impressed.]

Fireballs, the ability to change size, flight, and super-strength? That's a pretty formidable combination. He's no Discord, he's not even a Nightmare Moon, but he definitely sounds like a force to be reckoned with.

... Still, I don't really see him just stepping on your boss. [Not with those spikes.]
